Intensive efforts by the concerned authorities in Mecca in preparation for the last ten days of Ramadan

The authorities working in the service of visitors to the ancient house have intensified their preparations and plans for the last ten days of the blessed month of Ramadan by providing the best services to worshipers and pilgrims, as Mecca Al-Mukarramah is witnessing during these days a large density of pilgrims and worshipers from inside and outside the Kingdom to perform the rituals of Umrah, Tarawih prayers, and Tahajjud in the mosque. The Holy Mosque.


The Saudi News Agency (SPA) reported today, Saturday, that the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has raised its readiness for these blessed days, as it has recruited thousands of manpower from Male and female employees who are scientifically and practically qualified to monitor and follow up on the progress of work, and to provide sufficient numbers of male and female cleaning workers to ensure the provision of the best services to worshipers, pilgrims and visitors, in Al-Mataf, Al-Masa’a, the roof, the basement and the Saudi expansion. And all the floors of the ancient house and its courtyards.


In this regard, the Grand Mosque was provided with new carpets, the number of which exceeds 25 thousand carpets in all the prayer rooms and courtyards of the Grand Mosque, and 50 places for ablution are available inside the mosque. The Holy Mosque, and 3,000 toilets in the courtyards, and the authority provided 15,000 Zamzam containers and 150 mashrabiyas distributed inside the ancient house.


The authority also washes and disinfects the Grand Mosque 10 times a day, with a number of methods. There are up to 4,000 workers inside the Grand Mosque, under the supervision of 400 supervisors 24 hours a day, in addition to perfuming the atmosphere with approximately 3,000 liters of custom-quality fresheners.


Door management has intensified. The Grand Mosque provides its services by distributing (754) employees to (79) doors designated to receive worshipers and pilgrims on a daily basis, including (3) doors for the entry of pilgrims, (37) doors designated for worshipers, and (6) doors designated for emergencies, in addition to (32) doors. Internally, to facilitate the entry and exit of guests of the Sacred House of God from the Sacred Mosque.


The Authority also prepared more than (30) thousand containers for the blessed Zamzam water distributed throughout the Sacred Mosque and its courtyards. Its external facilities are filled five times a day, and more than (300) mobile bags are provided to distribute Zamzam packages, and (80) smart carts with a capacity of (80) liters.


Wajandt Health affairs in the region are represented by primary health care centers inside the Grand Mosque, with health staff to provide treatment services, facilitate the referral of sick cases to them, and train male and female workers on health prevention, first aid, and other awareness programs.

For its part, the Holy Capital Municipality stressed the importance of The importance of all municipal services, following up on commercial stores that are related to public health, operating, maintaining and cleaning municipal facilities and preparing infrastructure, and field follow-up of all work related to municipal services and other services.


In turn, the branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region provides all the services that worshipers need in mosques in all governorates of the region, and operates a number of mosques 24 hours a day within the plans prepared to receive worshipers in the last ten days of the blessed Ramadan.
