UNICEF: 1.7 million Palestinians in Gaza were internally displaced, half of them children

The United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, said: “About 1.7 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been internally displaced, half of whom are children who do not have sufficient access to water, food, fuel, and medicine.”

The United Nations organization added in a post on its account on the “X” platform: Today, Thursday, the children of Gaza need an immediate humanitarian ceasefire.

Israel restricts the access of humanitarian aid to Gaza, especially by land. This caused a scarcity of food, medicine and fuel supplies and a famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly in the Gaza Strip.
