Urgent.. CAF Champions League| Al-Ahly snatches an exciting victory over Simba of Tanzania in its home stadium

The match between Al-Ahly and its counterpart, Simba of Tanzania, ended with the Red Giants leading by one goal without a response, so that the defending champion returned from Dar es Salaam with a valuable victory that gave him the advantage in the return match in Cairo.


And they met&nbsp Al-Ahly and Simba of Tanzania are in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania.


The Red Giants started the match by scoring an early goal in the 5th minute. During the match, Ahmed Nabil Kouka scored it as a result of translating Mohamed Hani’s pass and exploiting the defensive errors of the Tanzanian team, Simba.


During the second half, the Tanzanian team tried to score the equalizer again, but was saved. Ali Maaloul Al-Ahly had a chance for Simba of Tanzania to equalize in the 55th minute after an attack that almost posed a real threat to the Red Giant’s goal.


The Tanzanian Simba player missed a golden opportunity. New to score the equalizing goal, after he was completely alone with the net, but the final touches were not crowned with success and the ball found its way to Mustafa Schubert, who was able to catch it.


And Al-Ahly started. The last minutes of the match witnessed a dangerous attempt by Mahmoud Kahraba, the opportunity to score the second goal for the Red Giants, which was incredibly lost, preventing Al-Ahly from eliminating the match, and Simba of Tanzania almost scored the equalizer had it not been for the brilliance of Mohamed Magdy. Afsha in performing the defensive role.


After the end of extra time, Abu Najil blew the final whistle, giving Al-Ahly an unanswered lead in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the African Champions League. The return match is scheduled to be held next Friday in Cairo.

It is noteworthy that the draw for the quarter-finals for the brown princess has placed the defending champion in a confrontation with Simba of Tanzania The winner will face the winner of the Congolese Mazembe and Angola’s Petro Atlético in the semi-finals of the African Championship.
