Zain sponsors Bait Al Othman Museum’s carrom tournament

During the awards ceremony held at the museum in Hawalli, Zain was honored for its support of the competition. The ceremony was attended by tournament sponsor Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Governor of Hawalli, the Acting Governor of the Capital, Ali Al-Asfar, the Honorary President of the Bait Al-Othman Museum, Adnan Al-Othman, and the CEO of Affairs and Public Relations at Zain Kuwait, Walid Al-Khashti. Director of the Abdullah Al Othman Heritage Center, Anwar Al-Rifai, along with public figures, diplomats and participating teams.

Zain’s support for this unique local event reflects its keenness to support any cultural initiative or program that enhances belonging to our national identity, enhances Kuwait’s rich heritage, embraces local talent, and helps introduce new generations to local traditions and values.

The Bait Al Othman Museum, affiliated with the Voluntary Work Center, hosted the carom competition for two consecutive days. Carrom is a board game of Indian origin that is rooted in Kuwaiti heritage and traditions and stimulates mental focus and hand dexterity. 240 teams, including more than 400 players, participated in this year’s competition, and it was supervised and overseen by a team from the General Sports Authority. The winners were awarded valuable cash prizes.

Zain is proud to support the programs and initiatives of Bait Al Othman Museum, one of the best cultural and tourist destinations in Kuwait. The museum works to document and preserve Kuwait’s rich history, heritage and traditions, and hosts many cultural and social programs throughout the year.
